Welcome to New Life Support Psychology Services!
New Life Support Psychology Service was founded in 2011 by Dr. Cecile Williams, a registered Psychologist, to provide a variety of services to the community, with a focus on improving well-being and happiness, and developing each client’s potential. New Life Support works in a wide network of professionals with multiple skills, to ensure that clients can be referred for specialised intervention if it is needed, and to guarantee that clinical outputs are consistently of an excellent standard.
Dr Cecile Williams has 26 years’ experience as a psychologist and has also completed her training in psychotherapy. She trained and worked in a variety of settings both in South Africa and New Zealand.
She has a collaborative and integrative approach, using brief solution-focused therapy as well as long-term individual therapy. She has extensive experience working with people from diverse backgrounds, including children, adolescents, adults, couples and families, who present with a large range of issues and difficulties. She has also an interest in working with people who have cultural and/or spiritual concerns.
Dr. Cecile is a compassionate listener with a good sense of humour and a warm and engaging style. Her approach is practical and down to earth. Each person is treated as an individual, and treatment is tailored to meet each client’s personal needs. She is sensitive, compassionate and respectful of different religious and cultural beliefs, as well as issues related to ethnicity and gender.
Dr Cecile Williams is registered with the New Zealand Psychologists Board and is a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society; the Aotearoa New Zealand Association for Cognitive Behavioural Therapies (CBT); the New Zealand Association of Positive Psychology; the New Zealand Association for Behaviour Analysis (NZABA) and an affiliate member for Christian Counselling.
She is a registered ACC Provider and approved ACC Assessor (sensitive claims).
